Native American Corn Festival
Saturday, September 20, 2008 12:00 - 6:00 pm

  • Demonstrations include corn grinding, steam corn, roasted corn, kneel-down bread and corn cake. Compete on shucking corn and eating corn on the cob.
  • Bring a sample of your best Traditional Navajo Corn Soup or Stew and the recipe. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be given.
  • Crafts for all ages of kid.
  • Navajo Tacos, Corn soup, water, soda and roasted corn (and some kneel down bread) available for purchase.
  • Prizes given for best traditional dressed man, woman and child.
  • We want VENDORS! Native American arts and crafts vendors are cordially invited to sell at this event. (Booth space 10’ x 10’ $10)
  • $5 entry fee per person, kids 5 and under free.

Drums of Summer

  • This is an opportunity for drum groups to get together in a non-competitive arena to mingle and enjoy each others music and new ideas. KTNN will be there to cover the event.

  • Dancers are welcome to dance and enjoy a relaxing, peaceful evening of great music in a serene environment.

  • $5 entry fee per person. Kids 5 and under free.
